EC: What style characterizes your wedding photos?

Krisztián: As a Fine Art wedding photographer, my images are primarily characterized by clarity and effortless youthful elegance. I distance myself from forced poses, clichés, and copying others. I strive for a unique, stylish, and tasteful standard. My photos typically feature light tones, pastel colors, beautiful skin tones, and pure whites. I also have a strong affinity for black-and-white photographs, which I love to use to highlight special moments. To this day, I enjoy photographing with film cameras, and I like to apply the colors, tones, and soft grain of the film world in my digital photos.

EC: You live in Gyenesdiás. Does this mean that the Lake Balaton region and the western area are your main territories? Krisztián: I live on the northern shore of Lake Balaton and grew up in the Balaton region. I consider this region my true home. For me, Lake Balaton, the Balaton Highlands, and its surroundings are a place of multifaceted and inexhaustible beauty. It holds countless exciting locations with waterfront promenades and harbors, hilly landscapes, and wonderful vineyards. Each season offers a different experience, making it even more beautiful and special.

If it can be called that, then Lake Balaton and its surroundings are my true territory, and I proudly consider myself a wedding photographer by the lake. However, I also work in Budapest and enjoy traveling to other areas of the country or abroad.

EC: What is your favorite location near Lake Balaton that you would recommend to couples for engagement or creative photo shoots?

Krisztián: I always like to find out what my clients are close to and in what environments they feel the most genuine and happiest. I always strive to find and recommend special locations. Over the years, I have discovered many beautiful photo locations such as boat and sailing harbors, reed thickets, and hillsides, but alongside the well-known spots, I also enjoy exploring lesser-known or untouched locations. Among the towns around Balaton, I love to photograph in Siófok, Fonyód, Keszthely, Tihany, Balatonfüred, Balatonalmádi, or any of the idyllic hills of the Balaton, as each has its unique character and atmosphere, but Badacsony is my absolute favorite. The area around Lake Balaton is diverse, where wonderful weddings can be held or simply couple and engagement photos can be taken on a different day. I always aim to recommend locations for the shoot where we can visit two or three spots within close proximity, allowing for both waterfront and hilly vineyard themes. For family and couple photography, I gladly suggest beach and harbor picnics and long walks. The lakeside birds, open beaches with shell-covered shores, and the closeness to nature provide a great environment for romantic, playful, and joyful photos. The Provençal atmosphere of Badacsony, along with its unique view of Lake Balaton, provides an excellent spot for a romantic, bohemian creative photo shoot in the light of the setting sun, allowing me to capture beautiful shots of couples while walking along basalt-paved paths, between vineyards, and near antique cellars.

EC: There used to be a high demand for sunset wedding photos, which can be even more special by Lake Balaton. Do you still receive such requests today?

Krisztián: Yes, the sunsets over Balaton are wonderful in themselves, both on the southern and northern shores. The atmosphere is slightly different everywhere around the lake. I really enjoy sunset photography, so I try to structure the couple shoots in a way that allows us to conclude our sessions with it. Generally, I prefer the late afternoon and early evening light the most, as this is when the interplay of light and shadow is at its finest, enhanced by the stunning backdrop of the Balaton landscape. To answer your question, yes, I am pleased to say that requests for sunset photos by Lake Balaton are quite common, and I am more than happy to fulfill them at any time of the year.

EC: Do you work with different package offerings?

Krisztián: Every wedding is unique, so I have several wedding package options available, all of which can be found on my website along with prices and additional information. From small, intimate weddings of 2-3 hours to full-day wedding photography, complemented by separate creative shoots, everyone can find the optimal package for them.

I typically photograph weddings solo, but for larger ones, a second shooter assists me. Optional add-ons for the packages can include engagement shoots, separate creative photography, and Fine Art albums. In addition to wedding packages, there are also various package options available for couple and family photography on my website.

EC: Approximately how many photos do the couples receive? Do you also handle post-processing?

Krisztián: Each wedding photography package includes a guaranteed number of photos. However, I strive to deliver every well-captured photo that contributes to the album, which is why the album often contains more images than the guaranteed amount. Many hidden moments and perspectives are included that the couples can only see through my photographs afterward. Client satisfaction is very important to me, so I put great emphasis on capturing every detail and moment—whether small, monumental, or unique—with high-quality, well-composed, and carefully crafted images.

All the photos are delivered with post-processing, lighting adjustments, thorough enhancements, and retouching to ensure they are in print-ready quality, provided in an elegant and secure online gallery. In the first week following the wedding, I always provide a selection of 150 photos that capture the most beautiful moments of the big day. Completing the full album requires meticulous and dedicated work, which takes time, so each package also has a guaranteed delivery time. I am quite particular about the selection, enhancement, and retouching of the images, so I handle all of this myself. I do not outsource any part of the workflow, ensuring the promised quality, style, and deadlines are met.
