I have been photographing weddings and family portaits for a decade.

Behind the camera

I was born in Keszthely, the capital of Lake Balaton, and I grew up here. I continued my studies in Pécs at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Humanities of the University of Pécs.

After graduating, I worked as a teacher for eight years, while simultaneously building my photography business, which I currently do full-time. I live in Gyenesdiás on the northern coast of Lake Balaton with my wonderful wife Otilia and our daughter Emilia. In addition to photography, my passion is travel, art, food, and music.

How it became my profession

I have tried many areas of photography, but mostly I like to photograph portraits and people’s emotions and candid moments. The world of weddings, couple photos and family photos are full of these. That way I can photograph exactly what I like.

I started getting to know the world of analog cameras as a child, but mostly from a playful perspective. I started to study photography more actively during my college years. Then, simultaneously with my teaching career, I actively photographed, and developed my technique and vision, and graduated from photography school.

My first wedding photoshoot was in 2013, which I enjoyed so much that I was immediately captivated by the special and exciting world of weddings. To this day, I create wedding photos and albums with great joy and unbroken enthusiasm.

My style

My style and vision was and is influenced by many creative artists. If I have to single out a few, Henri Cartier-Bresson from the classics, and Sean Thomas, Greg Finck and Jose Villa from today’s Fine Art wedding photography world, who inspire me the most.

I like both classic and modern things, so in addition to digital, I shoot on film as well. I love the colors and tones of classic films like KODAK, FUJIFILM and black and white ILFORD. I basically formed my current style under the influence of these films.

If I had to describe the color scheme of my pictures, I would highlight the simplicity, pastel colors and light tones with a soft film grain. I also have a great passion for black and white photos, which reproduce portraits and special moments in an even more artistic way.

I like to take youthful, easygoing and elegant wedding photos, avoiding clichés and forced poses.

How do I work?

Regarding to equipment I use Nikon. I shoot with Full Frame DSLR and MILC frames with the corresponding G and S series fixed and zoom lens lines. I have the right optics for every location, detail and moment, from ultra-wide-angle lenses, to macro, portrait, and telephoto, so that I can capture everything perfectly.

At weddings and events, I work with 2 cameras, alternating with different lenses, in which the recordings are written to 2 memory cards per camera, so that they are as safe as possible and no image loss occurs.

At wedding parties, I work with several flashes, which are placed on exposed slender stands or hidden clips, in order to illuminate the venue and the dances as beautifully as possible. Exciting and detailed recordings of the dinner and the party are made thanks to the thorough and sophisticated lighting. They also complement the existing party lights perfectly for dance shots.

At larger weddings, I work with a secondary photographer so that the most beautiful and versatile image material can be created. If my photographer colleague comes with me, it is no problem if the events take place in several locations and the unrepeatable moments are taken from several angles.

Where do I work?

I live on the northern coast of Lake Balaton, Hungary. My local knowledge for photography is best around Lake Balaton and Balaton Uplands, as most of my work take place here, but I also work in Budapest, and very happy to travel along Hungary, Austria, and other European destinations.

Digital post-production

I don’t delegate post-production. I do everything myself from selection, retouching to Fine Art album editing, so that my clients receive what I promise them. Precise, high-quality and timeless photos and albums.

I work with legitimate Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Bridge sofwares. I carry out post-production and retouching work on graphic monitor calibrated to correct colouring, so that accurate digital and printed photos will be the result. I store the images in several places as backup to avoid data loss.

I send the photos to my clients in digital high-resolution format via the elegant and easey-to-use Pic-time or Pixieset online gallery.
